Description

In this session we’ll hear how massage therapy and reflexology are effective treatments for reducing stress, pain and muscle tension as well as for improving circulation. Attendees will gain insight into the history behind both fields, different modalities used, and the health benefits to be gained by regular treatments.

Karen received her massage license in September 2012 and is a full-time massage therapist for Asante Hospice. She also has been a part-time massage therapy instructor at Rogue Community College for the past four years. Five years ago she opened Essential Wellness Bodywork & Massage, LLC, in Grants Pass, Oregon, which has grown to a team of seven therapists. Karen has been a part of many teaching events.

Nethaneel completed the reflexology program with Jill Fox in Jacksonville, Oregon, and is now completing his prerequisites to attend the massage therapy program at Rogue Community College this fall. His mother’s work as a massage therapist has fueled his desire to pursue an education in holistic medicine. Nethaneel was an active member of the speech and debate team at North Valley High school and has experience speaking at educational events.
