Title: Developing Your Inner Leader

Credit: 1.5 Professional Development

Session Description: This session will identify ways attendees can develop the inner leader within themselves utilizing the 10 steps shared by John Maxwell in his book “Developing the Leader Within You 2.0.”

1. Create a framework for advancing in professional career and personal growth. 

2. Identify personal values that help drive and motivate you. 

3. Develop a professional action plan to take away and use to grow and advance.

Bio: April Martin is the HIM Director for Southeast Health in Cape Girardeau, MO, and an adjunct professor for Stephen’s College. She holds a doctorate in business administration, a master’s in strategic leadership, and a bachelor’s in health information administration. She holds several industry credentials and loves mentoring others and helping them to identify ways to grow. She has held various leadership roles in AHDI and AHIMA at local, state, and national levels. She is also proud to be a BIG with Big Brothers Big Sisters.
