Title: Respiratory Therapy: A Matter of Life and Breath

Session Description: From schooling to a fulfilling career for a lifetime, attendees will learn how to become a respiratory therapist and what tools are needed on the job. The presenter will identify different jobs a respiratory therapist performs and how to maintain your credentials. She also will discuss many respiratory diseases, such as pulmonary fibrosis and COVID, as well as lung transplantation.

Bio: After the loss of a husband and mother to lung cancer, Robbin returned to school to become a respiratory therapist. She has been at the Mayo Clinic for 16 years, starting on the cancer floor then moving into lung transplants. She is currently working in the cardiopulmonary department. When not working, she enjoys volunteering at church, working out, and spending time with her family. She has 5 daughters and 14 grandchildren.
