Session Description: This session will describe the tenets of clinical documentation integrity, including who are excellent candidates to perform such reviews, what CDI means, where new programs should focus, and why there is such a need to perform these reviews. We’ll also explore how to use some CDI tools.

Bio: Dr. Martin is the Director of Revenue Integrity and Health Information Management for Southeast Health in Cape Girardeau, MO. She holds a doctorate in business administration, a master's in strategic leadership, and a bachelor's in health information administration. She has worked in the health information profession for greater than 25 years in various roles and holds several industry credentials. She is currently serving on the AHIMA Council for Excellence in Education, is a "big" with Big Brothers Big Sisters, and is an Avon lady. In her free time, she enjoys making blankets, reading, bicycling, and anything that involves spending time with her husband, kids, grandkids, or Siberian Husky, Zeus!
