Session Description: The prevalence obesity has been growing at is an alarming rate and now affects about 40% of Americans. Obesity causes many medical problems affecting the entire body system, including diabetes, heart disease, liver disease, joint pain, arthritis, and higher rates of cancers. Join us to learn current treatment options and strategies employed for the complex and growing problem of obesity, to include the multi-disciplinary approach to and medical therapies for obesity as well as endoscopic and surgical therapies.

Bio: Jeremy Bushman, MD, is a general and bariatric surgeon in west Michigan focusing on endoscopy, minimally invasive surgery, and robotics for the treatment of obesity. He is faculty and teaches for Michigan State University School of Medicine and for the Spectrum Health General Surgery Residency Program.
