Presenter: Nancy Dodge, MD

Description:

This presentation is intended to provide familiarity with this niche pediatric specialty, discussing patients we see, conditions we treat, ways in which we provide care and commonalities, as well as variability in our practices.

Learning Objectives
1.    Understand the scope of practice of neurodevelopmental pediatricians and how they differ from pediatric neurologists.
2.    Hear about three groups of pediatric patients who would likely see a neurodevelopmental pediatrician (where available).
3.    Recognize the interdisciplinary and collaborative nature of the specialty.
4.    Be familiar with at least two common disabling conditions of childhood and the recommendations that neurodevelopmental pediatricians commonly make in treating them.
