Description

The pandemic has caused a lot of stress on students' social/emotional wellbeing. This session will review the trends seen in the school setting, the psychological effects of children during the pandemic, as well as resources schools can offer to build resiliency.

Participants will:
1.  understand the role of the school counselor in relation to students social/emotional needs.
2.  understand the psychological effects of students due to the pandemic.
3.  learn about types of trauma and grief/loss.
4.  learn about resources, ways to support school-aged children, and how to build resiliency.
