Session Description: The value of healthcare documentation specialists is still viable in our remote world of keyboarding. This webinar is designed to showcase additional documentation opportunities available and how to enhance your skillset to a compatible community of legal content material. Healthcare documentation specialists have the baseline skills needed to expand into the field of legal transcription—the likenesses of which will be discussed. The panelists on this webinar will explain how to hone and apply your skills as a legal transcriptionist.

1. Recognize your value and relevant skillset.

2. Learn key differences between medical and legal transcription, challenges, and additional training required to work as a legal transcriptionist.

3. Learn what the expectations are for becoming a legal transcriptionist.

Bio: In 1998 Betsy Ertel became CEO of SpeedType™, “The Extreme Word Expander” system, to maximize the production of transcriptionists on a global scale. In 2005 she joined the legal industry. Committee involvement is one of her specialties. Promoting an awareness to professional keyboarding skills with its leverage directly compensating the user is her passion.
