Description: 

HDSs are always expanding their horizons and adapting to new roles, responsibilities, and ways of documenting patient records. Virtual scribing is just one of many newer roles. 

In this presentation, attendees will learn about the training required to become a virtual scribe (VS) and how having previous medical transcription/documentation experience can assist one in adding this skillset or transitioning to a VS position. We’ll also explore a day in the life of a virtual scribe.

Attendees will:
•    Understand the training that is required to obtain a position as a Virtual Scribe.
•    Learn how previous experience can help you fast-track through the training.
•    Identify the importance of the virtual scribe’s role within an organization.
•    Understand what work is entailed in a virtual scribe position.
