Bio:
Mandy Hildenbrand, CHDS, AHDI-F, began her career as an HDS over 20 years ago with her first 8 years with a small transcription service that specializing in only ED transcription. She then was employed by a large healthcare system in Indiana as a transcriptionist/SR editor for 8 years. She has been employed for Spectrum Health in Grand Rapids, MI as a health document quality analyst for almost 5 years.
Session Description:
As an HDS, one of our crucial skills is the mastery of WORDS...medical words as well as everyday English words. A tool that can aid in accomplishing this is an expander system. It can pay off in efficiency, time saving, and document integrity. It is worth the investment to create an expander system that works for you. Working as an HDS with a great expander system can truly prove that “less is more.” You will have less errors and more accuracy, efficiency, and productivity.
