Organizations today are challenged with tackling the governance of information. Most organizations are not sure where to start or are unaware of the risks to their organization because of poor information governance (IG). This presentation teaches what IG is, makes the case on why it is a must in organizations, and provides information to audiences on how to create a strategy, build a business case, and implement and maintain an IG program at any organization.
Bio: Throughout his career, Andrew has conducted scores of presentations on many topics related to or closely related to Information Governance. Andrew is a frequent speaker at ARMA International and ARMA Regional conferences, as well as local chapters across the US. He uses humor and his wealth of knowledge to entertain, inspire, and ensure his audience receives a memorable presentation. Since 2007 he has provided senior leadership at Kent Record Management, Inc. in Michigan, and has worked closely with clients on their RIM and IG programs. In addition to his role at Kent Records, he is a former adjunct professor at Davenport University and taught global project management and the technology capstone courses. He is the founder of the career coaching company Admovio, where his resume review work is published in CIO Magazine’s IT Resume Makeover Series. He founded myPACT in 2017 that enables individuals to showcase their professional accomplishments to employers in a modern way and is a contributor on IGGuru.net. He has served as a volunteer test writer on the Institute of Certified Records Managers (ICRM) Exam Development Committee (EDC) since 2012, and as Regent of Exam Development in 2017. Andrew was elected to serve on the PRISM International Board in 2016. Andrew has a Master Science in Administration with a concentration in Information Resource Management from Central Michigan University and a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology.
