Session Description:
In followup to our Plexus column, “Insight into Integrity,” this webinar will take an in-depth look at developing the basis for any document integrity program—the error category system. Deciding which errors to hold providers accountable for can be challenging! We will discuss aspects to consider and questions to ask during the decision-making process. Doing your homework well in advance will ensure support for your program by other stakeholders. Once the categories are determined, it will be imperative for your auditors to have one comprehensive resource, which will reduce frustration, eliminate searching multiple sources, and ensure consistency in marking. Should you choose to implement a QA program, the marking manual will also be instrumental in referring auditors back to the source of marking decisions.
Learning Objectives
1. Identify error categories.
2. Hear the benefits of creating one comprehensive resource.
3. Learn about critical errors versus noncritical errors.
4. Develop a marking manual.
5. Receive additional resources.
