Katelin McConkey, DVM
VCA Animal Hospital
Dr. McConkey received her undergraduate degree from St. Mary's College of Maryland and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. She started by volunteering in wildlife rescues and animal shelters as soon as she was old enough to do so. Dr. McConkey's family moved overseas while she was in high school, and she worked as a zookeeper while abroad. Dr. McConkey is comfortable seeing a wide range of species because of these experiences. She has experience with Maryland’s wildlife, birds, reptiles, rodents, and even bears. Her main interests in veterinary medicine are surgery (both soft tissue and orthopedic, but especially emergency surgery), ultrasonography, and exotic animal medicine.
