Erin was a medical transcriptionist of acute care and radiology accounts for 2 years prior to being offered a position as a manager/trainer for a company contracted with a local hospital. Over the next 20 years she helped the company grow by starting up other local hospitals and clinics. For 4 years during that time, she also taught the medical transcription program at a local college. She obtained her CMT certification and later transitioned to the CHDS credential. She loved the profession but due to the changing trends of transcription, in 2016 she investigated other opportunities utilizing her medical knowledge. She was given an opportunity to review highly complex medical claims and fell in love with taking a deeper dive into everything medical. She has been in this profession for the last 9 years. She is the assistant clinical manager, and she oversees 23 clinical reviewers and coordinates the workflow of claims.
