Kevin R. Nelson, MD

Dr. Kevin Nelson is a neuromuscular neurologist in Lexington, Kentucky, and is affiliated with University of Kentucky Albert B. Chandler Hospital. He received his medical degree from the University of Michigan Medical School, Ann Arbor, and is board certified by the American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine and the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in Neurology, Clinical Neurophysiology, and Neuromuscular Medicine. He spends a lot of his time teaching residents how to perform and interpret nerve conduction studies and EMG. He is a noted expert on therapeutic botulinum toxin injection. Dr. Nelson is also very active in hospital administration. Currently, his research is centered on the expressions of REM consciousness. He has authored many articles and books, including “The Spiritual Doorway in the Brain: A Neurologist's Search for the God Experience.”
