Shawna Hansen, M.A., PPS

South Hills High School

Shawna Hansen has been working at South Hills for seventeen years. She started as an English teacher for nine years and has been a school counselor for the past eight years, currently holding the position of Head Counselor. She received her B.A. in English at California State University, Fullerton, and her M.A. in Education and PPS Credential from Azusa Pacific University. She enjoys working with students to help them recognize their potential and make tangible plans for the future. She has a son who will be starting high school in the fall and understands the importance of helping children navigate and process the impact the pandemic has on their lives.
